2009 Annual Computer Security Applications Conference (25th ACSAC)
Welcome to ACSAC 2009! We are looking forward to a great conference! This year marks our 25th year anniversary, and we are celebrating it with a special location: Hawaii!
ACSAC has a tradition of bringing together security professionals from academia, government and industry who are interested in applied security. It is an internationally recognized forum where practitioners, researchers, and developers in information system security meet to learn and to exchange practical ideas and experiences. Started in 1984, the conference has grown over the years to achieve worldwide attendance and recognition for the high quality of its presentations, discussions, and interactions.
If you are developing practical solutions to problems relating to network, system and information security, the you should consider submitting your work to ACSAC and attending in December. We provide in-depth tutorials on current security topics, workshop on hot topics, case studies on best practices, panels on controversial subjects and a technical track consisting of peer-reviewed papers. This year we are also adding a poster session where presenters can demonstrate late-breaking results.
All these sessions and tutorials are fully qualified as Continuing Education credits toward CISSP and similar security certifications. We also offer conferenceships for students who otherwise would not be able to attend the conference.
We are planning several very special events this year to mark our 25th year anniversary and make this the best ACSAC yet, so mark your calendars now and plan to attend!
